Big K.R.I.T. & 9th Wonder - Reign On

I still have some Krizzle tracks in my inbox that I need to post, but I heard this and new it was a priority. Reign On combines one of my favorite southern artists with the legendary 9th Wonder and straight up kills this! Not only should you enjoy this track for Big K.R.I.T.'s flow, but there is also a free download to take advantage of! Enjoy folks!

Expect more Krizzle posts to come in the near future!

Tru Fam - Rich Kids (Official Music Video)

As previously mentioned here, Tru Fam have been working hard on this music video for their latest project, Rick Kids. The video itself is pretty tight in all fairness and the song has already proven itself to me. I really like the mystical vibe to this track and have been thoroughly enjoying the Rich Kids vocals for some time now. Check it out for yourself below and enjoy!

More to come from Tru Fam soon!

Quiet Storm - One Take (Music Video)

I love it when artists and their reps reach out to the blog for posts because it shows a real initiative and that they have at least paid a little attention to our posts.

Gotta say that I am really glad I gave this guy a shot because he takes a sample that I recognized immediately from my favorite Childish Gambino song, Freaks and Geeks, and went in on it. I'm not gonna equate him with Donald just yet because DG is one of my favorites out right now, but Quiet Storm definitely has a good sound to him and I think a lot of y'all will enjoy this Long Island talent. Check One Take out below and look out for more posts from this fella as I come across them. Thanks!

YONAS on "The Black Canvas"

Saw this post today on YONAS' Facebook and couldn't help but to share it with everyone! Check the picture out above or you can see the full quote below:

What does the black canvas mean?: "The black canvas to me, is a metaphor for struggle. While traditionally canvas's are an off white color (meant to compliment all the different potential paint colors an artist might use) the black canvas is one that starts out dark. To me it represents someone being born into a dark situation, and having to create the light and optimism in their lives. If the whole world consisted of painters, the ones given a black canvas, are the ones given a disadvantage. But still we rise." - YONAS

Also, if you haven't already, check out The Black Canvas below and enjoy the mastery!

"Frank Ocean Can Fly" - Jeff Himmelman

Came across this awesome post on Grammy's-snub, Frank Ocean, by Jeff Himmelman of the New York Times. It is a long write-up, but I read it all the way through and found it to be completely worth my time. Check it out and enjoy y'all.

Also, if you, somehow, have not already listened to channel ORANGE, then check it out via SoundCloud and/or iTunes.

Yelawolf - Way Out

Yelawolf can be too much for me at times, but there is no denying that he has talent and a lot of people like him. Way Out is a pretty dope track, although not my favorite from the man. It is a single off his upcoming Trunk Muzik Returns, set to release on March 14, via Yela's website.

Paris 96 - Afternoon

Paris 96, aka Theophilus London and Jesse Boykins III, have released a new track for our listening pleasure titled, Afternoon. These two artists were a group while they were coming up together in the past and thought this was a perfect time to reconnect.

London sticks to his promise of a new track every week here as Chiddy Bang's Xaphoon Jones joins the duo with a hazy beat that we can all vibe to. This is not my absolute favorite style in this genre, but Theophilus London is a good time and I think he has earned a post for y'all to decide for yourselves.

Enjoy the free downloads below and look forward to Paris 96 releasing an EP in the coming months, most likely April. Enjoy folks!

Also, check out Theophilus London's earlier February work, Jump (Club Cheval Rap Remix), as he has promised a new track for every week of this month.

Drake - Started From The Bottom

Apologize for the delay on this posting...have had a lot of new stuff going on recently and it will probably continue for a little while. So, if you would try be patient with me, I will greatly appreciate it!

New Drake stuff is usually worth, at least, a posting, no matter what the quality may be. I have not been a big Drake fan since So Far Gone to be honest. The most recent Drake track I really bumped, in all honesty, was Congratulations.

Having said that, I know other people are big fans of him. So, here y'all go. I hope y'all enjoy it folks!

Snoop Lion's "Lighters Up" Visuals

This post is a long time coming...was pumped when I first saw these visuals because I am absolutely obsessed with the track itself. Love the vibes on this song. Well done to Lion, Diplo, and the rest of the crew on all of the new work coming out of these collaborations.

T.I. - Memories Back Then (Feat. Kendrick Lamar, B.o.B, & Kris Stephens)

This has been a pretty clutch find for me while scrolling through some old e-mails tonight. Not on his newest album for reasons having to do with the sample, I believe. All four of the artists on this track did an absolutely awesome job here. Take a listen and I am confident you will like what you hear. Enjoy folks!

Sikai - Falling Star (Feat. XV)

Checked this song out because XV, a W&F favorite, is on the track. Gotta say, Sikai is not my favorite, but he does a pretty good job on this and I am SO digging the sample he and T. Armani used. XV goes in with his usual high pitched, tight flow. This is definitely worth checking out, despite my feelings towards Sikai because he is the type of artist others will enjoy. He will probably even grow on me with this track. Enjoy folks!

YONAS - The Black Canvas EP

Long-awaited, The Black Canvas has finally been released for our listening pleasure by W&F favorite, YONAS! Another piece of musical mastery, The Black Canvas is nine tracks full of YONAS' "pledge allegiance to the swag" flow. Since the release of Temptation and Clockwork, I knew this was gonna be a release of the year candidate for me. Been a fan since the  I Am Us project and all I have to say is keep up the good work YONAS! Can't get enough of this guy! Enjoy and support this newly signed artist, folks!

Nameluss - Drive (Mixtape Review)

W&F favorite, Nameluss, has released his newest project, Drive, for our listening pleasure. I can't get over how much I enjoy the samples this guy uses for his tracks and I love the meaningful lyrics he brings to his tracks. This stuff definitely means something to him, as was made clear to me when I posted Lost Ones a few days back. This is definitely worth a listen folks and, unless he tells me otherwise, its a free download people! Consider this mix-tape on that #repeatcitynowboarding grind on my iTunes.

My favorite track has to remain Let Me Know. I just love the combination of 'luss and YONAS (another W&F favorite) so much here and Shade Sheist does his thing in there as well. This track is a must for anyone who likes a good track to pump them up.

My other favorites on this project include Way We Do It (awesome sample), Lost Ones (awesome sample), Bring It Back, Go And Get It, and Adrenaline Rush (tight flow on this). Yeah...I do realize that accounts for pretty much the whole thing...it's just that good folks!

The Game - Ali Bomaye (2 Chainz & Rick Ross)

Well the line up in this song should just give you a heads up of how sick it is.  All three of them go in on this, even Ricky Ross. I don't usually like Rick Ross but this probably my favorite song he's ever been apart of. This song came out on The Games album Jesus Pieces about a month ago and I haven't been able to stop listening to it. Check it out and enjoy.
