Ab-Soul - ILLuminate (Feat. Kendrick Lamar)

I was actually about to not post this, but then I heard K.Dot's verse come in and new it was time for this. Personally, I do not vibe with Ab-Sould all that much, but I do recognize he has some skill on this track and I actually did find myself bobbing my head a little bit to him. Having said that, the aforementioned Kendrick is why this song made the blog. Check it out and enjoy folks!

Lil Reese - Traffic (Remix) [Feat. Young Jeezy & Twista]

Found this about a week ago and I'm just not getting around to posting about it. Y'all know I don't pass up an opportunity to post Jeezy material. Check out the remix of Traffic and see what you think, I'm almost always gonna like what Jeezy does and this is no exception. Enjoy folks!

G-Scott making moves

(1) G-Scott - Rich Broke

Rich Broke is the type of track that I associate with G-Scott. He has never been my FAVORITE, but I definitely enjoy his music and I know a lot of other people really dig him. Look for G-Scott to deliver his third full-length project, 1983, this Wednesday (according to GMAD).

(2) G-Scott - Mary Poppins

After listening to Marry Poppins, I may have to consider it one of my favorite tracks that I have heard from G-Scott to date. The music video is super trippy and cool in its own right and the track is pretty tight with G-Scott goin in on the super chill, mystical beat. Look for G-Scott to deliver his third full-length project, 1983, this Wednesday (according to GMAD).

Trufam - Thrill

A twin rapper duo has recently made their just finished project, Thrill, known to me (check out the link). I am currently in the process of checking the duo out more thoroughly, but I already have enjoyed a lot of what I heard so I figured I would share regardless of what I find.

The most recent single they have released is called Rich Kids, which has a super mysterious vibe going on throughout the song. Some neat stuff here. I have been notified that they are currently working on the music video for Rich Kids and I will hopefully have it soon to post on here as well.

Be on the look out for their upcoming album entitled Yellow Silverspoon to come out at some point in the near future.

Klooney - Monster Howl

Had a friend send this to me earlier today and had to post it up here. Really like these guys' sound on here. Definitely going to be pursuing more music from them around the Internet. Check out Monster Howl out below and see if y'all like Klooney too!

Big K.R.I.T. - Gettin' Mine (Feat. Rapsody & Heather Victoria)

Krizzle and 9th Wonder combine here alongside a couple upcoming R&B ladies for a super chill track, perfect for K.R.I.T.'s rapping personality. Definitely worth a listen below folks!

Nameluss - Lost Ones

W&F newcomer, Nameluss, switches it up for us on Lost Ones as he delves into the subject of the losses he has suffered in his personal life. While it is in a completely different direction from Let Me Know (recently posted on this blog), I am definitely still feeling Nameluss' vibe here. Really big fan of the sample he uses on this track and I strongly advocate all of you checking him out below and following him on the social media trail.

Be sure to look for Lost Ones as a part of Nameluss' upcoming mix-tape Drive, set to drop some time in the very near future. Enjoy folks!

Omar LinX - Youth (Feat. Foxes) [Adventure Club Remix]

This could have gone on either page and, to be honest, I am going to repost it on the EDM page as well. Having said that, I wanted the main post on the Hip-Hop page since it has the updated lyrics relevant here. Loved the original of this track and I love this version of it as well. Really love how they mixed in the rap verses here. Check it out below and enjoy folks!

YONAS - Clockwork (Official Music Video)

YONAS has got to be one of my favorite artists out right now. As I eagerly await the release of The Black Canvas on February 4th, YONAS has been kind enough to release Clockwork to tide us over for the next couple of days. Loving the visuals of NYC in here and I can already tell this will be one of my favorite YONAS tracks once I can get my hands on it for my car rides. Check out the visuals below and enjoy!

Be sure to look out for The Black Canvas to be released on February 4, 2013 and follow the YONAS social media trail with these links:

I have heard most of the album, but I'm going to wait until it is made available before I post stuff on here. As for right now, I will post some of the featured singles off the album so that you can have a preview and/or get yourself excited enough to go purchase it on iTunes. Enjoy!

(1) Wild For The Night (Feat. Skrillex &  Birdy Nam Nam)

(2) Long Live A$AP

(3) 1 Train (Feat. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, & Big K.R.I.T.)

Juelz Santana - God Will'n'

Juelz makes his first solo appearance of a legitimate piece of work since 2005 with his God Will'n' mixtape here. Apparently, this is a preamble for a studio album set to release some time later in 2013. I have not listened to all of it, but from what I have heard, he does pretty well coming back into the game. Features include Fabolous, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Wale, Wiz Khalifa, and Yo Gotti so there are at least a few verses in there worth listening for. Check it out below and enjoy folks!

A$AP Rocky - Wild For The Night (Feat. Skrillex & Birdy Nam Nam)

I have been waiting for Sonny to become more involved in the hip-hop scene. We have seen him venture into reggae with Damian Marley, but this is an exciting development for me whenever these two genres blending together here. I haven't had a chance to listen to A$AP Rocky's new album yet, but I think this is off of it and I'm looking forward to more good stuff like this from the album. Enjoy folks!

YONAS - Temptation (Feat. Lucian Walker)

Some new YONAS off his upcoming project, The Black Canvas, set to release on February 4 2013. It is becoming a little redundant for me to say, but I have to nonetheless. I have never heard something I did not like from this guy. I have seen him live and listened to everything I can find by him and I can't find anything to complain about. Check him out and enjoy folks!

- TD O_o

Nameluss - Let Me Know (Feat. YONAS & Shade Sheist)

Had to give this a listen when I saw YONAS attached to this project. After listening, I have to say I am a huge fan as this is right up my alley. Definitely give this track a shot here because I think these three have come up with some fire on this. Adding this to my workout playlist as I finish this post up. Enjoy folks!

Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie (Feat. Jay-Z)

I guess in between the ten billion movies he is in, JT decided to put some music back out in the world. Not sure I understand why hov hopped on this, but whatever I guess...

Mike Posner - Ho Hey (Remix)

This is right up Posner's alley. He has always had a nack for remaking tracks to fit his voice and he altered the beat for this one and actually made it work for him. Check it out and enjoy!

Lil Wayne - Staring At The World

This type of track just seems more natural for Weezy to me.

A$AP Rocky - I Come Apart (Feat. Florence Welch)

Not sure how long this SoundCloud link will work, but, regardless, Long.Live.A$AP drops Tuesday. For those of you who love A$AP, I'm sure this will please. Personally, I think this is a little weird from him, but I am looking forward to listening to his upcoming release. Enjoy!

Juelz Santana - Soft (Feat. Rick Ross, Fabolous, & Meek Mill)

Juelz makes appearance? Haven't heard much worth paying attention to out of the Harlem spitter recently. This, however, is actually pretty straight. I'd definitely give this a shot if I were you. Enjoy!

Catching Up with 2013

It appears that my travels over the holidays have left me with a lot of catching up to do, so here goes nothin...

No particular order here:

The Good

(1) Big K.R.I.T. - Rich Dad Poor Dad

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I will rep Krizzle to the end. To be honest, it's stuff like this that make me. The video is cool, the song is cooler, and the southern flow with the personal Krizzle flow just bring it all together for me. If you don't like his style, don't be mad at me for sharing, but this is just awesome to me. Enjoy!

(2) Lil Wayne - Rich As Fuck (Feat. 2 Chainz)

This is so much better from Weezy on this track. 2 Chainz is often times better sticking to hooks (even though I am a closet Tity Boi fan), but I'm not feeling him on this. Watch out for I Am Not A Human Being II being dropped later this year. Enjoy!

(3) Trinidad James - All Gold Everything (Feat. T.I., Young Jeezy, & 2 Chainz) [Remix]

Other than this being an edited version, this is dope. Big fan here, most because they didn't use any of the original verses haha. You gotta pay your dues to the southern bosses, especially if you are coming up in ATL. TJ definitely found that out on this one. Once I find the dirty version, this will be on my workout playlist. Enjoy!

Trinidad James - All Gold Everything (Remix) [Feat. T.I., Young Jeezy, & 2 Chainz]

(4) Frank Ocean - Wiseman

Sorry in advance if you are not a Frank fan, but I'm partial and I can't help it. Love his voice and his style. Enjoy!

(5) J. Cole - 2012

Reppin my home state of North Carolina, Cole made this track back in 2008, but released it right before the world was supposed to end...#awkward. Real talk, though, I do like this track. Enjoy!

(6) 50 Cent - Major Distribution (Feat. Snoop Dogg & Young Jeezy)

Didn't think I'd ever be putting 50 back on a positive list again, but this is straight for me...also, annoyed the dirty version I found isn't working anymore.

(7) Flux Pavilion - Do Or Die (Feat. Childish Gambino)

Soooo... ( ._.)

(8) A$AP Rocky - 1Train (Feat. Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, & Big K.R.I.T.)

@_@ WOAH

1Train (via Can't Stop Hip-Hop)

The Bad

(1) Wale - Draft Pick

I miss the pre-MMG Wale so much. I used to listen to him all the time...now, I could barely get through the minute and a half of this.

(2) Azad Right - I Luv The Way You Taste

This has gotten some critical acclaim and I know he is popular out there on the west coast, but this one just isn't doing it for me this time. I have definitely liked his stuff in the past, though, so I'll stick with him in 2013. Check it out for yourself and hopefully you'll enjoy more than I have.

(3) Wale - Folarin (Mixtape)

I'm actually not sure how I feel about this piece of work since I haven't listened to it all the way through, but thus far I haven't really been feeling it. He does have some solid features on some of his tracks on the mixtape, but until I get the overall vibe of this work I'm going to stick to my guns on how Folarin has been performing since he joined MMG. Definitely check it out for yourself though because it's free via DJ Booth and Wale deserves a chance regardless.

Wale - Folarin (Mixtape) [Free Download]

(4) Lil Wayne - Bitches Love Me (Feat. Drake & Future)

Maybe this is just me, but I don't understand why Drake is relegated to the hook on this. This seems like the perfect song for a nasally Canadian verse. Oh well...this isn't actually that bad for me, but it isn't great either so that's why it's on this list. Enjoy!
