Akon - Konkrete Jungle
Akon has come out with another mixtape that I was hesitant to put much excitement towards, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this effort. The Gotye remix didn't annoy me and, in fact, I actually enjoyed it. Check this one out and give Akon another chance and I think you'll find that he may be getting back to some decent business here. It's not GREAT, but it's a very solid effort from the Konvict.

DJ Drama - My Moment (Feat. 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, & Jeremih)
Here comes Tity Boi-2 Chainz once again...another track by the "talentless" rapper I can't help but listen to OVER AND OVER AGAIN. My mind explodes when I try to figure out why he is becoming so popular, but I can't help but wonder haha. Anyways, I'm a big fan of the chorus and I think all of the featured verses are entertaining, but it's pretty typical of Drama to be honest haha. Take a listen and support if you like what you hear.
Childish Gambino FIRE
"His metaphors come out of Pluto and sometimes land on Neptune before they ricochet off to Earth."
Childish KILLS this unheard verse over Biggie's 10 Crack Commandments on the Sway In The Morning radio show before he played a show in New York a few nights ago. Donald also dropped the name of his upcoming mixtape, "Royalty," during the verse so look for that coming out in the near future. Check this video out.
Lupe Fiasco - Bitch Bad
Let me start out by saying I LOVE this track. I feel like this song is a return to the Lupe of old and the beat is what starts it all for me. I try not to pay too much attention to the overhyped "messages" of hip-hop artists, but this one is interesting haha.
Check it out on SoundCloud.
A$AP Rocky - My Bitch (Ridin') (Feat. Lana Del Rey)
A$AP Rocky has an album coming out on September 11th and this is one of the songs on that album. This track is pretty tight and the music video with a JFK and Jackie theme is pretty interesting too. Lana Del Rey doesn't do anything special for me, but she doesn't ruin Rocky's tight flow.

Self Made Vol. 2 Released
Maybach Music Group (MMG) has released its new album out and it's available on iTunes for download now. I can't say I'm a fan of most of MMG, but I do think that Wale is always worth the bill and there are a couple worthy features like Kendrick Lamar worthy of listening to. So, check it out and remember to support if you like what you hear.
Buy on iTunes.

Aer - Floats My Boat (Official Music Video)
Aer has just recently dropped their summer jam. Listen to this and tell me it doesn't scream summer to you. I've always been a big fan of what these guys put out. They've never seemed to disappoint me and this is no exception.

Donald has come out with another new song for his upcoming mixtape, "Royalty," dropping on July 4th. Check the track out it's worth it. The Radio Rip is courtesy of GoodMusicAllDay LLC.

YONAS - The Transition
YONAS has come out with a new mixtape with some old favorites on it. Many of you have probably already heard "Drive It Like It's Stolen," "One More Time," "Wanna Be Loved," "Midnight City," "Pumped Up Kicks," and "Can't Knock Me Down," but there are even more gems on this tape. Early favorite of the tunes that I hadn't heard on this already is "Don't Give A Damn".
The Transition was sponsored by DJBooth, 2DopeBoyz, and GoodMusicAllDay to bring this awesome New Yorker to all of you. Enjoy and support as YONAS makes his way through the hip-hop world.
Joining YONAS on the feature tip of some of these songs is Brother Ali, Logic, DJ Corbett, and Scotty James.
Get the download here from DJ Booth.

2 Chainz - No Lie (Feat. Drake)
I still can't decide whether 2 Chainz (aka Tity Boi) is the "train wreck" I can't stop myself from watching or if he is so bad that he has actually become entertaining for me to listen to/watch. Regardless of what I think of his actual rapping talent, the guy is killing it right now and now has a hit with Drizzy to add to his resumé. I must say though, his collabos with Team 103 are much better than this track.
On a side note, am I the only one who thinks Drake has lost his mojo? Can we just go back to the "So Far Gone" mixtape or even some of his other ones before he blew up...the guy just hasn't been the same for me recently. For starters, STOP SINGING.

Wale - I Be Puttin' On (Feat. Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, & Roscoe Dash)
Wale, of MMG, has recruited Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, and Roscoe Dash on this track called "I Be Puttin' On". The track is going to be on the upcoming album from MMG called "Self Made 2".
As always for me, Wale murders and Wiz does a decent job while the others are simple background sound on this track. Check it out and look for it in stores on June 26th.

XV- Popular Culture...IS AMAZING
This mixtape is absolutely amazing from start to finish. The early favorite for my favorite track is "The Kick" which has a great sample from a movie everyone should know by now...the rest of the mixtape uses samples from other great shows/movies/etc. and I 100% think everyone should download it, listen to it, and support the guy when he puts his stuff out for sale. Great style...also check him out on YouTube for some cool music videos.
Download the mixtape here.
Budweiser Made In America: Philadelphia (September 1-2, 2012)

Jay-Z and MMG are worth it alone...not to mention all the other great acts!
